Congratulations Team! All of the team members win or lose gained invaluable experience from competing at Collegiates. Great job to those who placed:
Anna Shi won gold for white/featherweight division.
Bian Tagal won bronze for blue/fly division.
Sinclair Walker won bronze in white/middle/heavy division.
Alyssha Rodriguez won silver in the blue/middle/heavy weight division.
Connor Landy won bronze in the green/light/welter division.
Just because Collegiates is over doesn’t mean the team is done.
Now, it’s time to go back to the mats and work on our weaknesses while building on our strengths. Looking ahead, there is the AAU Southwest District Qualifier in Addison, TX.
Hook ‘em.

Although Texas Taekwondo is one of the most competitive teams on campus, last night, one of our members competed on a completely different stage: Miss UT Asia.
Great job to Anna Shi for representing Texas Taekwondo at Miss UT Asia Cultural Pageant!
Not only did Anna showcase her kicking skills, she voiced her ideals on embracing both Asian and American cultures in a diverse cultural melting pot. While remembering her roots, Anna creatively represented herself as a strong, passionate Asian-American woman breaking the stereotype of timidity and submissiveness. Way to go!
